Career Mentoring [TOP]
Alumni volunteers are always needed to share their career experiences as mentors to students and other alumni. The Career Contact Network provides advice to students about majors, informational interviews, and career assistance. This service is now online at http://careerservices.rutgers.edu click on Alumni and find the link to ALumni Career Network. This system is password protected: Rutgers University-Camden (password is "raptors"), Rutgers University-New Brunswick (password is "henry"), or Rutgers University-Newark (password is "essex").

Career Counseling [TOP]
Considering a career change? Is your company downsizing? Rutgers' career services offices have professional career counselors available to assist alumni in resolving career concerns. Comprehensive one-hour sessions are available for a modest fee. At no charge, 15-minute"drop-in"sessions are available in the afternoons on a first-come, first-served basis for quick questions and resume critiques. The career offices also administer career-interest assessments and sponsor workshops on all aspects of career planning and employment.

Employment Fairs [TOP]
Alumni are welcome to participate in general and specialized employment fairs sponsored free of charge on all three campuses throughout the year and featuring hundreds of local and national employers. New Brunswick Career Services says each year more than 10,000 students and alumni and over 1,000 employers participate in these events.

Alumni Networking & Support[TOP]
Designed especially for alumni seeking a job change or career enhancement, the Alumni Networking & Support group meets once monthly from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., September through June, at the Rutgers Student Center on the College Avenue campus in New Brunswick. Meetings feature guest speakers and special presentations on career and employment issues. Call 732/932-7997 for more information.

Starting Your Own Business [TOP]
Would you like to be your own boss? At the School of Business in Camden, alumni are offered a free orientation for dealing with start-up ventures. For more serious concerns, free or low-cost confidential, professional counseling sessions are available at the school's Regional Small Business Development Center.
